We were looking for a scenic patio to have drinks and a snack on a weekday afternoon and decided Finn’s would be a great option.
In general, this restaurant should be a 4; however, it received a 3 today due to a couple of unique situations.
Ambiance: Great view and patio but avoid at all costs if it’s windy. They do not secure their patio umbrellas properly. One flew off its stand, hit a patio light bulb and the glass cut the had of a another patron. Yikes!
Service: Our server (Tim) was impeccable (casual yet attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu). Unfortunately the manager needed to be more involved. He did not engage with the customers as he was on his computer for 90% of the time we were there.
Food: The quality was excellent; however, the execution during their slow time could be improved as the food temperatures were not hot/fresh. We had a cup ($7) and bowl ($12.50) that were lukewarm (approx 140F). The burger had an excellent flavor profile (but was cold due to the manager’s faux pas).
Value: You get what you pay for. A 3-course dinner for two would be approximately $200 including drinks but well worth it.
Overall: Definitely worth trying out. Bon Appetit!
