Food: 4/5 (An inconsistent 4 as it is a 3 on occasion)
Service: 4/5
Value : 4/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Overall Experience: 4/5
The last time I went to Lecosho, everything was fairly good. The only thing that marred it was their lack of judgment on how many orders of octopus to prep for dinner service as they were sold out before we got there at 8 p.m.
As last time was a solid 4 in food and service, I opted to introduce several friends to this little restaurant.
Unfortunately they weren’t impressed. The pork chop was under-seasoned this time.
On the flip side, they had the octopus this time so that paired nicely with the pork belly starter.
I decided to try something other than scallops and pork for once and had the black cod (which is one of my favorite fish dishes). Again, the seasoning was off.
The server had a great personality. We really liked the rapport; however, he ended up being too busy as we had to keep looking for him to get additional drinks. By the time he did a quality check, we were already halfway through our entrees and didn’t bother to comment on the food.
On the flip side, the pork was braised perfectly and the octopus was tenderized properly. And as a nice treat, they were offering a single serving of chateaubriand that they cooked to a perfect medium rare.
So, all in all, I’ll go again. But I think I’ll stop introducing friends as one of the friends with us was a foodie and he was quite annoyed with having to work so hard for his drinks and having to season his own food.
